De Kelders, Cliff Road.

This design is a culmination of an energetic exploration of a variety of concepts inspired by the unique site and its beautiful natural environment. The various levels of the plan step to follow the contours of the site.

The design of the building form ignores the geometry created by the boundaries of the site and is instead shaped and orientated to optimally capture the spectacular views and natural light. The spaces are interconnected by volume, hierarchy, and degrees of privacy. There is a constant awareness of the beautiful natural surroundings with an aim to create an ambiguity of threshold, resulting in a free flow between the interior and the exterior spaces.
